You can assume I'm a brown person who is tired of watching, generation after generation, while white people accept rewards that belong to people of color, and as if this isn't enough functional amorality, convince themselves that they 'earned' it.
Privilege and earning are two separate things.
You can also assume that your cocktail party of white self-deception won't go on forever, because POC's, for the most part, are tired of seeing our hard-earned rewards PLOP into the laps of underperforming white people who lack the morality to admit that they are recipients of a free ride at the determined ('ignorant') expense of brown, black, and indigenous peoples.
All your silly little defensive maneuvers--gaslighting facts about police abuse with comments about 'Black on Black' crime--won't work forever.
Your cocktail party is almost over.
