I think it's appalling that these people refuse to consider the very basis of white supremacy: that it established race so that people of European background could be rewarded even when their performance is subpar/mediocre.
Our entire 401 year history is comprised of paying white people for Black people's work (and to some lesser extent, other POCs through stealing promotions, college positions, etc.) through the 401 year established history of WHITE supremacy.
White supremacy is the FIRST established system of paying people for their race, and it continues to pay them EVEN WHEN THEIR PERFORMANCE IS REMISS, for 400+ years and ongoing.
It's truly disgusting that they completely disregard 401 years of history and focus on one law as if the ENTIRE last few centuries didn't happen.
This behavior wins one genuine Blue ribbon prize: gaslighting. More allegedly cherubic white 'ignorance' that should no longer be tolerated. We've been paying White people for their race for 400+ years: that's what she should be talking about.
