Conflating any sort of slavery with the TransAtlantic Slave Trade is fundamentally absurd, Arab or otherwise.
The TAST is unique for a number of reasons: it required the invention of race which was applied worldwide and used as an economy of conquest for the entire nonwhite world (90% of the human race).
At no time in documented history did any one group who had slaves — and there have been many, worldwide — extend it such that it subordinated a bulk of the human race. Even patriarchy only subordinates about 50% of the human race.
The sheer magnitude of damage to all continents would argue for its singularity. It is extremely common for white people to conflate the TAST with other forms of slavery, because it minimizes their responsibility for an active system that continues to unjustly enrich white people (people with a European background) at the expense of all others, which is the OPPOSITE of merit.
